Landscape design and installation that starts with a mock-up and ends with plants, stone and beds in the ground
A beautiful and functional landscape for your home. Work with the team to turn your vision into reality, from plants to retaining walls and outdoor living areas.
Chapter 01
It starts with a mock-up
Before a plant goes in, Joel shows you a mock-up. It is a plan of the space with the plants, beds and stone placed where they would go, so you can react to something real instead of guessing. One customer wrote that Pureleaf finished a flower and plant bed in one day after showing her a great mock-up, as promised.
The plan is built around what is already on the property. A reviewer on Pureleaf's reviews page said Joel made plant suggestions that suited the space and blended in with what she already had. Another customer, who hired Pureleaf for a whole backyard remodel, said the crew explained everything in detail and answered a million questions about the process.

What a full install involves
A Rogers customer is the clearest example. The customer had moved from the East coast into an existing home with scraggly, overgrown rosebushes and old plants, and wanted a Tuscan villa. Pureleaf found them a selection of new plants and shrubs resembling those from Italy, including Spartan junipers that stand in well for Italian cypress, and sourced large boulders to play the part of marble.
The sequence on a job like that follows the ground. Old plantings come out, the grade is set so water moves away from the house, beds are shaped, plants go in, stone is laid, and mulch or rock finishes the surface. Skip a step and it shows within a season, which is why the mock-up comes first.
Chapter 03
Plants, walls and outdoor living areas
Pureleaf's own description of the service runs from landscape and plants to retaining walls and outdoor living areas. In the photos that looks like a circular drive bed on a stone retaining wall with a tiered fountain, cone shrubs and Japanese maples, and flagstone walkways and patios with gravel borders. Another customer had them landscape a circle drive, including building a retaining wall.
Outdoor lighting is also on the list of what Pureleaf does, and it can be part of a plan.
Stone and plants are chosen to work together. A boulder anchors a curve of river rock, junipers give height behind lower shrubs, and a walkway tells guests where to go, so the finished yard reads as one idea instead of a pile of parts.
Design work books up. The Rogers customer noted that it took a while to get on the schedule and said it was worth the wait, so ask early if you are planning around a season.
Maintained once it goes in
A new landscape needs its first seasons watched. The same Rogers customer wrote that Pureleaf will be maintaining it going forward, and the backyard remodel customer now has the yard serviced weekly. That is how a planting stays in the shape it was designed in.
