Trees and shrubs trimmed, planted and taken out, with the cleanup done

Pureleaf trims, plants and removes trees and shrubs for homes across Northwest Arkansas, and leaves a safe, tidy outdoor space behind.

Chapter 01

Trimming and shaping through the year

Shrubs and trees get shaped in spring, when new growth is ready to be directed, and trimmed again at the end of summer before the season turns. That rhythm is how Pureleaf customers describe the work, and it keeps plants in scale with the house instead of swallowing windows and walks.

Each cut is made with the plant in mind. Boxwoods are clipped round and even, shrubs are kept below the window line, and branches are taken back from roofs, siding and walkways. Limbs that rub a roofline or brush a wall hold moisture and invite damage, so pulling them back protects the house as much as it improves the look.

Trimming makes a pile, and the pile is part of the job. Clippings are raked up, bagged and hauled off, hard surfaces are blown clean, and the bed underneath is left tidy. One Pureleaf customer was fitted in because the crew was already working across the street, which is how a neighbor's trimming job can start anywhere from Lowell to Springdale.

Planting and replanting trees

A tree is a long decision, so the first question is the spot. Mature size, sun, how close it will stand to the house, and what hangs overhead all matter more than the size of the sapling that comes off the truck. A tree that suits the space needs far less pruning and causes far fewer problems later.

Planting is simple when it is done carefully. The hole is wide rather than deep, the root flare sits at the soil line, and a ring of mulch goes around the base, pulled back from the trunk so the bark stays dry. The tree is watered in and the ring is kept clear of grass, which would otherwise compete for water.

Replanting follows removal. When a tree comes out, a replacement keeps the yard from going bare, and the planting can be tied into the beds around it. Pureleaf already does mulching and replanting for customers across Northwest Arkansas, so the whole job stays with one crew.

Chapter 03

When a tree or shrub has to come out

Some plants have to go: dead, crowded against the house, or simply the wrong choice for the spot. Taking one out is a matter of cutting it down, hauling it away, and leaving the ground ready for whatever comes next, whether that is grass, a bed or a new tree.

Settle the details before the work starts. Whether a stump comes out or stays, what happens to the wood, and what the area should look like when the crew leaves are all worth agreeing in the conversation up front, so nothing surprises you on the day.

Getting a quote is three steps: send a text, chat on the phone, then receive a quote. Include a photo of the tree if you can, and mention it if the tree stands close to the house or to power lines, because that changes how the job has to be done. Call or text (479) 601-2057 to start.

“They were able to squeeze us in before leaving the neighborhood. They did a fantastic job!” Mercedes Ashley, from Pureleaf's reviews page.
